RDF/SRF Preparation Plants![]()
Many waste management companies are appreciating the importance of diverting material from landfills towards energy creation. With this in mind, McDonald International manufactures completely automatic plants for the processing of various waste streams with a view to recovering waste suitable for use as a refuse derived or solid recovered fuel. The processes involved vary depending on the feedstock but McDonald International, in cooperation with their equipment partners, will ensure the system designed with meet the strict guidelines set for this form of recovery. In 2010 McDonald International commissioned its first RDF Preparation Plant in Ireland. In conjunction with several equipment partners including Matthiessen, Nihot,Titech, and Untha, McDonald International is responsible for bringing the plant from initial concept phase to the commissioning phase. The processing of waste for use as an RDF product involves many of the similar processes to those used for other forms of processing. Most new RDF processing plants require some form of NIR optical sorting as a way of removing unwanted materials and recovering potential recyclable materials. Other processes include fe and non-fe separation, air separation, trommeling, and ultimately shredding of the suitable material. Whatever processes are required, McDonald International Ltd. will ensure your RDF processing plant represents the most up to date and efficient techniques available for producing this material. Our RDF/SRF Plants will process feed stocks of commercial/industrial waste and/or municipal solid waste (MSW). |
